Fires near Nea Moudania and Sindos under control

A fire that broke out earlier on Monday near Nea Moudania, Halkidiki in northern Greece is under control, the Fire Brigade said on Monday afternoon.

A nursery school was evacuated as a precaution, with six fire engines and a 12-member crew battling the blaze.

Another fire that broke out in the Sindos, Thessaloniki metropolitan area, earlier is also under control. This second fire broke out near the Technical College (TEI).

Fire engines are stationed near both sites.
