Piraeus removes 40 trucks of rubbish from Freattyda beach in clean up

The municipality of Piraeus cleared away on Thursday forty truckloads of rubbish, including concrete slabs with metal rods, from the beach of Freattyda, as part of a push to improve the area for swimmers.

The municipality said that it also built facilities at Freattyda for the hundreds of swimmers that go to the beach every day during the summer.
