Antenna Group sells subsidiaries in Serbia and Montenegro for 180 million euros

Antenna Group on Wednesday said it has reached an agreement to sell its subsidiaries in Serbia and Montenegro for 180 million euros.

Its portfolio in Serbia includes two TV channel stations, PRVA and O2TV, six subscription TV stations, four websites and one radio station, while in Montenegro its portfolio includes one TV station and one radio station.

“Our dynamic presence in these countries, all these years, and a successful agreement to sell our networks prove our ability to invest in rapidly developing markets, establishing our presence in the domestic and international market. We continue investing internationally in new opportunities in the media and content production sector,” Thodoris Kyriakou, chairman of Antenna Group said in an announcement.

Antenna Group entered the Serbian market by acquiring Fox Televizija Serbia from Rupert Murdoch with a market share of 4.0 pct, turning the channel into a leader Media group in Serbia, and it is a strategic partner and one of the main shareholders in Raine Group investment bank. With a presence in 20 countries in Europe, North America and Australia, Antenna Group has a workforce of more than 2,600 workers.
