Athens Stock Exchange: marginal decline

Equity prices were fluctuating at the opening of trade on Wednesday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index posting a slight decline of 0.15 percent to stand at 760.07 points at 11.00 am, after rising 0.28 pct earlier in the session, and turnover at 1.95 million euros.

The FTSE/ASE Large Cap index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was down 0.12 percent and the FTSE/ASE Mid Cap index was down 0.20 percent.

For the individual sector indices, the biggest gains were in Personal Products (+0.42 percent) and Foods (+0.29 percent). The biggest losses were in Construction (-0.28 percent) and Financial Services (-0.23 percent).

Of the stocks traded, 21 were up, 14 were down and 5 were unchanged.
