Athens Stock Exchange opening: Marginal decline

Equity prices were slightly dropping on Wednesday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index down 0.07 percent standing at 798.80 points at 11.00 am and turnover at 5.75 million euros.

The FTSE/ASE Large Cap index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was down 0.17 percent and the FTSE/ASE Mid Cap index was up 0.25 percent.

Individual sector indices were moving downwards with the biggest gains in Raw Materials (+2.02 percent) and Technology (+1.56 percent). The heaviest losses were in Commerce (-6.72 percent) and Travel (-0.24 percent).

Of the stocks traded, 30 were up, 24 were down and 8 were unchanged.
