Greek industrial turnover index up 24.5 pct in March

Greek industrial turnover composite index (measuring both the domestic and external markets) jumped 24.5 pct in March this year, compared with the same month in 2016, after an 11.7 pct decline recorded in the 2016/2015 period, Hellenic Statistical Authority said on Friday.

The statistics service, in a report, attributed this development to a 50.6 pct jump in the mining turnover index and a 24.1 pct rise in manufacturing. The domestic turnover index rose 14.1 pct in March and the external market index jumped 38.1 pct.

The composite index was up 21.1 pct in March from February 2017.
