President Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci are meeting anew at 10am on Thursday, Radio Proto reported.
Anastasiades and Akinci will be meeting with UN Secretary General Special Adviser Espen Barth Eide, where all will be presented a list of differences on all chapters of the Cyprus problem by Greek Cypriot negotiator Andreas Mavroyiannis and Turkish Cypriot negotiator Ozdil Nami.
At the last leaders’ meeting on February 1, Anastasiades and Akinci requested the UN prepare another meeting of the Conference on Cyprus at a political level in early March.
Government spokesperson Nikos Christodoulides said on Wednesday that the new meeting of the conference would be taking place in the second half of March.
On January 12, the first Conference on Cyprus was convened with the participation of the three guarantor powers (Greece, Turkey, and the UK).
The security and guarantees chapter was opened for the first time in 43 years.
